We sand down the 3D-printed parts to remove the visible layer lines, support residue, and any other imperfections. This process takes longer depending on how detailed your parts are.
Wear eye protection!!! You do not want plastic particles or spray paint in your eyes.

Quick Spray Painting Tips:
Hold spray paint can 8-12 inches away from the parts
Use sweeping motions
Apply multiple thin coats instead of one thick coat
Do not touch wet paint
Apply 1 coat of black paint.
Black paint as a background makes the other colors stand out
Use painter's tape to cover areas you do not want painted. Apply 1-2 coats of desired color.

Keep your parts on the same rod for drying
Repeat as needed for all colors/areas.
Use brushes with acrylic paint for any high-detail spots.
Layer many thin coats
After you are satisfied with the paint job, apply a final layer of clear coat. This protects your parts from the environment and enhances their final appearance.
It is very difficult to do anymore painting after clear coat is applied.
