Hilt Material
Most hilts use 3D-printed parts (typically PLA) glued around a steel pipe.
You may choose to machine your hilt out of aluminum. Aluminum hilts do not require a steel pipe, and can be machined with a 1 inch inner diameter. Hacksburg typically offers aluminum hilt sessions in the fall. Reach out if you're interested.
We encourage members to use other materials to add extra details and decorations.
