Holding a mirror up to your professional self as a reflective educator and instructional leader, this module is designed to set you up for success as a learner, leader, and instructional partner. As an educator, you already bring a rich toolkit of skills to your practice and likely also have areas for professional growth.
This module will give you an opportunity to examine the skills, beliefs, and dispositions you bring to the table as a reflective educator. Working with your learning partner, you will begin exploring the partnerships and networks which inform your own professional growth. You will also set some initial targets and goals to focus your work in the LIFT Framework and learning path.
What is the focus for my professional learning?
What mindsets and mental models do I bring to my practice?
What are my learning communities and networks?
What are my skills and dispositions specific to working with fellow educators?
This module has the educator engaging in the following work
identifying a learning partner and/or cohort,
reflecting on professional beliefs and dispositions as a component of student instruction and professional collaboration,
examining and identifying professional learning networks and partners, and
self-assessing educational leadership skills and dispositions.
