This module is an opportunity to build a deeper understanding and fluency in the use of digital learning tools and the ways in which they can be powerfully integrated to support innovative instruction. Within the LIFT Framework learning path, this module intentionally comes last, following your examinations of reflective practice, effective instructional partnership, and innovative learning design. And by design, you will be challenged to leverage your new skills and insights as you examine digital learning and teaching not simply as a set of tools and techniques, but as solutions in support of professional reflection and growth, instructional partnership, and innovative student learning.
You will begin with a survey of frameworks and standards that help educators more clearly see educational technology in relation to student learning and teacher practice. You will then examine what effective and responsible technology use looks like in the classroom and school. Applying your learning, you will observe and reflect on how educational technology is used in your classroom or school to support innovative student learning. Finally, you will examine how digital learning and teaching can be supported through instructional partnership and other enabling conditions.
How can I better understand and promote the powerful use of digital tools by both educators and students?
In what ways can digital tools and educational technology support the transformation and personalization of learning?

examining policies, laws, and best practices related to instructional use of digital tools and services, and
assessing the impact of student use of educational technology in practice, and
