In this course, students will learn how to write a variety of essays, using the five-paragraph essay format. Attention will be given to each part of the writing process, from brainstorming through finished products. Class time will be dedicated to instruction, both as a group and on a one-on-one basis when the instructor looks over completed work and makes suggestions and revision comments.
The course will also include some grammar instruction, but this class does not constitute a full grammar curriculum. Students who still need significant grammar instruction will want to add an additional resource or curriculum for individual study.
