Merry-Go-Round

Spinning like a lazy top, ‘round it goes. Vibrant music will draw you in.

Inner plates of mirrors stage the bright colors to dance.

As you rush to mount the ornamented figures before you, observe.

While some move slowly, others do not move at all. So much is an illusion.

You’ll feel like you are in motion while the park stands still. In reality, it is the other way around.

This is the ride of routine. Sometimes in life, we get too comfortable with the familiar.

We feel safer if we stay close to home and cling to the same circle of friends.

Our life is busy, yet predictable. Day to day, the pattern varies only slightly.

When you find yourself going ’round on this ride, look out at the world.

Realize that there is so much more to experience.

Do something different! Join a group. Learn something new. Start a hobby. Make a new friend.
