In a globalized world, we must work with any nation which supports making our world a more free and fair one. Our traditional alliances with European and Asian countries are integral to our future success, but we also must not restrict ourselves to them. There are many newly rising nations that would cherish a greater relationship with America, and we in turn can help influence them towards greater promotion of greater freedom and democratic rights within their own countries.
Syria
The butcher of Damascus, Bashar al Assad, has long perpetuated the suffering of his people. He has gone as far to hit his own citizens with attacks from chemical weapons banned by the rules of war. The Syria Civil War, caused by his and his fathers mismanagement of his country, has caused the lives of hundreds of thousands to be extinguished and millions more to flee in terror. While we support a plan that would end the terror in Syria, we refuse to support any efforts to rebuild Syria without the institution of a democratic constitution in Syria and the resignation of Assad and his lackeys.
Iraq
While the role of ground troops has come to an end in Iraq, we continue to support the their democratic constitution and hope that in the long run Iraq will be to keep itself together for long enough to act as a model for other aspiring democrats in the region. At the moment, the main practical concern is halting Iranian influence over the country.
Iran
The Iran Nuclear Deal was a worthy step forward, although it did not go far enough. While it stopped the nuclear ambition of Iran in its tracks, which was good enough for this agreement, it did not seek to limit its missiles and other offensive weaponry that could be used by Iran against our allies in the region.
The War on Terror
With the decline of ISIS, much of the war on terror is now taking place in North Africa and the Sahel region. Many areas in these regions are under virtual control of terrorist groups whose stated goal is to destroy America. We can not allow groups like this to get comfortable and plan attacks, as well as terrorize the people of those regions. We should look to support the armed forces of those countries in the region who are currently being effected by those groups, as well as offer logistical support in the form of reconnaissance, training, and limited drone strikes on top targets.
We fully support US activity in NATO. We do not support leaving NATO in any way as it would severely hinder our relations with European Power ms such as France or the UK. We believe that NATO should be used as both a organization to protect western society and as a peacekeeper in global conflicts.
