Environment and Education

Climate Change poses an existential threat to the entire world. Without immediate action to solve this crises entire American cities could be subject to increased natural disasters and eventually consumed by rising tides. This is a disaster scenario that we never want to see occur.

Renewable Energy

• The Liberal Party is committed to development of clean energy infrastructure such as solar, wind, and nuclear energy. We support government research subsidies into these technologies to quicken the pace of their development and bring down their costs so they can compete with traditional fossil fuels. We also support ending the implicit subsidies long provided to American oil and natural gas producers in order to better reflect the cost to society they impose.
• The Liberal Party supports the imposition of a Carbon Tax to end America's contribution to climate change. This will be offset by a decrease in other taxes, creating a net neutral effect on the economy.

Cost of College

With the price of college increasing faster than wages in recent years, something must be done to give the intelligent youth at the bottom of the income ladder a chance to achieve their dreams.

• The Liberal Party supports efforts to provide free tuition at public higher education institutions to students whose families makes under $75K a year. This will be phased out progressively around $75k to minimize the welfare cliff that would otherwise be created by such a policy.
