College Application Process:


1: Create a list of your top colleges with application due dates and other items needed (SAT scores? Essay? Letter of Rec?).


2: Follow steps in College Application Process to stay organized.


3: If you need a Letter of Recommendation from your Counselor, please use this form. All LOR request forms must be turned in to Counselor at least two weeks prior to due date! Please include a rough draft of your essay along with your current resume.

4: Beginning October 1, apply for financial aid through the FAFSA website. Apply early, financial aid is awarded on a first come, first served basis.

  • GPA is only calculated on unweighted scale

  • LHS does not rank students. When asked for rank on applications, indicate "none". Starting with the class of 2017, all high schools in the Issaquah School District will no longer use rank. Instead, ISD will honor graduates of distinction in three categories: Cum Laude (with honors 3.5—3.74), Magna Cum Laude (with great honors 3.75—3.89), and Summa Cum Laude (the highest honor 3.9—4.0).
