Not all IT professionals are in management.
Those that are in management can influence their business’s IT strategy, policy, and governance on a daily basis. Non-managerial professionals are influenced by strategy, policy, and governance.
Does your place of business have rules about which kinds of technology workers can use? That’s policy.
Does your place of business have training on how to use work-related technology? That’s governance.
Does your place of business acquire or develop new technology every few years? That’s strategy.
My hope is that this website makes you recognize how your work environment is influenced by IT strategy, policy, and governance as I have.
