LGBTQ+ Affinity Group
The LGBTQ+ Affinity Group is a student-led group that creates space for psychology graduate students with similar identities to socialize, bond, and experience visibility and representation. Their mission is to foster community and connections for LGBTQ+ graduate students in The University of Memphis Psychology Department. They strive to provide representation and visibility for LGBTQ+ people in the department and to be a space where LGBTQ+ individuals can build a community and develop connections that might not otherwise emerge through day-to-day graduate student activities.

Pride & Equity Alliance
The Pride and Equity Alliance at the University of Memphis is comprised of faculty and staff (members and non-members of the LGBTQ+ community) who are working together for the following:
To raise awareness of the LGBTQ+ community’s needs
To identify and correct shortcomings at the university
To combat macro and micro aggressions
To review processes to ensure inclusion and fairness
To educate the University of Memphis community
Stonewall Tigers
Stonewall Tigers aims to create an inclusive space on campus forstudents, staff, faculty, and members of the Memphis community as a whole to share a common ground and take from us whatever they need. We actively promote LGBTQ+ education, safe sex education, and activism education while keeping the spaces we inhabit safe, open, free, and welcoming to people of all backgrounds.
