The mission of the LGBTQ+ Task Force is to promote a safe, inclusive environment within the Department of Psychology at The University of Memphis by facilitating necessary changes in policy, practice, and departmental climate.

• Disseminate information regarding resources, best practices, and current events related to sexual and gender minority identities (i.e., inequities in facilities, curricula, and campus environment).

• Collaborate with university stakeholders to promote equality and equity for students who identify as sexual and/or gender minorities.

• Partner with campus and community-based groups and organizations serving the local LGBTQ+ community.
