Phil Pavlik Jr., PhD (He/they)

Faculty Co-chair

Dr. Philip Pavlik Jr. is a cognitive science area faculty member. They also serve on the psychology department’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee, which parallels their interest in supporting marginalized communities. They enjoy pottery, gardening, cooking, and their Onewheel.

Lacy Jamison, MS (She/her)

Graduate Co-chair

Lacy Jamison is a fifth-year clinical psychology doctoral student at The University of Memphis. She is interested in understanding and enhancing strengths-based characteristics and coping responses among persons with diverse identities, such as racial and ethnic minority status and sexual and gender minority status.

Mollie Anderson, PhD (She/her)

Dr. Mollie Anderson is an Instructor in the Department of Psychology. Dr. Anderson also serves on the department's Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee.

Austin E. Ashley, BA (they/them)

Austin Ashley is a Post-Baccalaureate Research Assistant working in the Cognitive Psychology department at the University of Memphis. Their current research involves the study of Stereotype Threat and its effects on Test-Taking and Working Memory. They like to watch movies, play games, and read in their free time.

Kristoffer Berlin, PhD (He/him)

Dr. Kristoffer Berlin (he/him) is a Clinical Psychologist in the Child and Family Studies and Clinical Health areas. He is actively involved in Health Equity Research and Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Social Justice initiatives at the University of Memphis (Chair of the Psychology Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee; The Committee on Strategies and Tactics for Recruiting to Improve Diversity and Excellence ), and nationally (Society of Pediatric Psychology’s Diversity Committee, Diversity Champion Program Member, Anti-Racism Research Taskforce). He enjoys spending time with his family, playing guitar, and gaming on retro consoles.

Missy Beyer (She/her)

Missy Beyer is a third-year doctoral student at the University of Memphis studying clinical psychology. Missy's research interests include risk and protective factors that predict posttraumatic stress; factors that lead to sexual violence victimization and perpetration for women and LGBTQ+ clients; and early prevention/interventions for intimate partner and sexual violence. Missy is also a gamer, optimist, Tolkien fanatic, and proud cat mom.

Emily Campbell

Emily Campbell (she/her) is a senior psychology student with a minor in sociology. She is currently an undergraduate research assistant in Dr. Simon’s lab. She is also serving her second year as the President of Stonewall Tigers Gender and Sexuality Alliance.

Raven Cohen (She/her)

Raven Cohen is a third-year student in the Counseling Psychology Doctoral Program. As a graduate assistant in inclusion and sexual diversity, Raven works to promote campus inclusion for LGBTQ+ students, an area that she is passionate about. Raven's research interests include exploring resiliency factors in LGBTQ+ populations, with particular attention to LGBTQ+ people of color, and addressing social, economic, and health disparities in multicultural populations. Raven also loves podcasts, roller derby, and game nights.

Hannah Cole (She/her)

Hannah is in her second year in the Clinical Psychology PhD program. Her current interests involve substance use, substance use treatment, and barriers to care in the LGBTQ+ community. Hannah also loves books, board games, and her dog Red.

Hannah Gilliam (She/her)

Hannah Gilliam is a second-year student in the clinical psychology doctoral program at The University of Memphis. Her research interests include understanding pathways of risk and resilience for individuals exposed to interpersonal and community violence to evaluate and develop interventions aimed to bolster resilience and reduce victimization across developmental stages.

Kellie Hamilton (She/her)

Kellie Hamilton is a senior studying Psychology and will be graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in Fall 2022. Her goal as a member of the task force is to become more educated about the LGBTQ+ community.

Breanna J. Moss (She/her)

Breanna Moss is a senior Psychology student with a minor in Child Development. She hopes to join the Clinical Mental Health Counseling program at University of Memphis to further her interests in providing trauma informed care to children and families. She currently is a research assistant in the REACH Lab working to understanding risk and resilience for women exposed to intimate partner violence in Memphis.

Cameron Quan (He/him)

Cameron Quan is a second-year MSGP student at the University of Memphis. His research interests are centered around LGBTQ+ and minority populations, particularly focusing on microaggressions, sexual violence prevention, sexual health behaviors, and gender expression.
