Below is a sample of some of the the organisations and outreach-based activities I have been involved in throughout my academic career. Feel free to contact me if you would like any details about the organisations or my time there.
We Solve Problems is a charitable organisation who run weekly sessions for school students aged 11-15 with a keen interest in developing mathematical problem solving skills.
As a head tutor, I help organise and run these sessions, aiding with tutoring and ensuring safeguarding procedures are followed.
Náboj is an annual international maths competition for high school students. Schools from all over Europe compete in teams of five simultaneously against each other, with the goal of solving the most problems before time runs out. I have been involved in helping to run these sessions on the day, acting as a 'lead marker'.
The Glasgow Inclusive Homework Club is a volunteering group aimed at helping young people in school years S1-S6 with disadvantaged backgrounds. I tutored children in mathematics, pushing them to reach top grades. I also assisted with recruiting new volunteers for the group.
