This week we completed the mechanical frame and associated assemblies. Coding for the microcontrollers and Raspberry Pi are in progress. We are currently able to make motors move but this motion needs to be associated to specific actions to strategically play the game.
The frame assembly is complete. We are now working towards motion of and within the frame. The only mechanical component that is not completed are the gripper rack and pinion. This will be completed this coming week.
All wheels have been mounted and the frame can roll freely when the motors are not driven. The rear bar has been mounted with L brackets.
The wheels motors have mounted and can be driven by the Lego belts.
This is a demo of the frame moving. The motors are controlled by a Linux system that will then be ported over to the Raspberry Pi.
We have not attempted to drive these motors yet. They should be driven similarly to wheel motors but we did not want to begin testing on this part without limit switches on the ends so that we do not damage the frame.
