MEETING REPORT
DECISIONS:
The website will be under the control of Greece. All the videos and photos of the activities will be taken from Twinspace and then uploaded to the website.
Twinspace was introduced to the partners and mentioned finishing the unfinished activities in the page section. The videos and pictures of the project should be uploaded to the material files by the students, not by the teachers, since the cooperation of the students will be valued at the end of the project.
Logo competition rules were explained and the teachers decided to finish voting by the 28th of December. The votes of all countries will be uploaded to a Google Spreadsheet in the “Logo Competition Results” subsection in the Page Section.
After the logo of the project is determined Turkey will finish the poster of the project by the 15th of January.
The next activity “Climate Change” will be created by Turkey.
For this activity:
Until the 20th of January
All countries will separate their students into 5 groups and write down their students’ names in a Google Spreadsheet in the Page Section.
A pre-test about “Climate Change” will be completed by the students. This can be found in the climate change subsection of the Pages Section in Twinspace.
Then all students will go to the forum section to write the answers to the given questions about climate change in their groups, comment each others' posts, and meet there for the first time.
Until the 25thof January
A 2:30-minute-long animated video about “Climate Change” which can be found in the Pages Section under the Climate Change Subsection will be watched by all students.
All students then watch the film called ”2040” which can be found on YouTube or Internet film sites.
All students will go to the forum and write down their ideas about the film and climate change in their groups.
Until the 30 of January
All countries will prepare a 7-minute presentation about climate change including the effects, causes, and solutions, and will upload them to the Climate Change Presentations Section which will be in the Page Section.
Also, collaborative work will be done: all the students in their groups will come together with their group friends and make a poster about climate change by using Web 2.0 tools. Then, they will upload it to the Climate Change Poster Section which will be in the Page Section.
Note: Please, pay attention to the uploading process. The work created by the students needs to be uploaded by the students themselves into the Material Section, not by the teachers, since this project is a student ongoing one.
It is also important to make comments on others' writings in the Home Section. That applies to both the teachers and the students.
Between the 10th and 15th of February
An online meeting will be held. All countries will choose 5 representative students to share their Climate Change presentations and then a Kahoot about climate change or an online game will be prepared.
