Want to know what's going on in the Lesson Bank world? You came to the right place. Check here for updates, announcements, and more!
3.0 is HERE! VIPKid updated their portal and changed the formatting of our teaching schedules. The PLB 3.0 and CLB 3.0 versions have been updated to match the new formatting! I also updated a few other things.
PLB 3.0: We have a new PLB that matches the new teacher portal. It also got a little makeover and some updates! I have sent 2 emails in an attempt that at least one finds you and you can make a copy of the new PLB. Please check your Inboxes, Spam, and Junk folders to find it.
*You can also find your original PLB email (Welcome to the Personal Lesson Bank) open it and a link to make a copy of the new PLB is on there. *If you still don't see it please fill out this form: https://goo.gl/forms/FnOk0Pbr9UjjShRN2 (Paid PLB users only.)
CLB 3.0: A new CLB has been made and is ready to access! There is a temporary link to it on the old 2.0 version redirecting you to the new one. Please go to the old CLB 2.0 and follow the hyperlinked text "Click here to join 3.0" to the new 3.0 version and bookmark it! You can access 3.0 via 2.0 until April 1st. After April first, you will need to retake the quiz to gain access. That means as soon as you open that bad boy BOOKMARK it! So you don't forget where it is!
NEW USERS--this message just means we updated the Lesson Bank to work with the new Teacher Portal formatting updates and that the training videos are now a little off and outdated. THE PLB AND CLB are fully functional and actually freshly updated and better than ever! Just know that they don't look the same as the version in the videos. The process is the same for access. CLB is free just pass the quiz. PLB chip in $30 once and we send it to you. For more info about the PLB and CLB head to the Lesson Bank Info Site (See pinned post at the top of the page).
3.0 Version Updates Overview:
1. We have a new PLB 3.0 and CLB 3.0!
All existing users who donated to have the Express PLB will receive the PLB 3.0.
All existing quiz passed CLB members will receive the new CLB 3.0.
2. Interactive lessons are the new basic form and static lessons are noted in the CLB as MCS (Major Course Static). I think we are now safely in a new majority of more L2 interactive lessons than L2 static so with the new PLB 3.0 the INTERACTIVE Level 2 lesson are the new norm and will not require an added "I" YAAAAY!!! STATIC Level 2 lessons will require an added "S" AFTER the MC to generate a static level 2 lesson (MCS-L2-U2-LC1-3). Make sure it is a capital S, it’s AFTER the MC, and that you click out of the cell.
3. We have an automatically formatting button! The 2nd auto-formatting tab is gone and we have an easy button now instead! Yay!!
4. We are simplifying! The free manual-only PLB is going away.
CLB 3.0 is still free and quiz required.
PLB 3.0 still is a one-time $30 donation and no quiz required.
*Again, if you've already paid you DO NOT need to again and will get the new PLB 3.0 and quiz passed CLB users will get the CLB 3.0.
5. The "VIPKid Google Slides Group (Official)"
Group is bringing their Google Slide links in-(their)-house. They've been amazing to collaborate for so long. We love them and thank them for all the time they collaborated with us! Big love their way. Now we have a new admin over the Lesson Bank Google Slides, Stephanie Myers! Give her a big Lesson Bank community welcome! She will be adding her amazing Google Slide sets for Levels 2-4 ASAP and is feverishly working on 1 & 5. So hang in there while she gets them added. *Anyone who has Google Slide sets they've made and would like to add as alternative options WE WOULD LOVE! Contact Stephanie with how and what to do to add them.
Now I just really want to say thank you to all yall who have been so nice, patient and supportive. Thank you to each of you that add your ideas, updates, and edits to the CLB, donated to the PLB when you didn't have to, and/or builds our teacher community by collaborating, lending a hand, helping, and/or reaching out in any positive way. I notice each little act and I just want to say THANK YOU!
