Hi! My name is Sara Wells and I am the creator of the Lesson Bank. I am not especially tech savvy or an outlier of any kind but I did start pretty early on in the VIPKid world and found some holes and needs of teachers and self-taught and got to all this. A little about me. I love movies, great tv, audio books, and podcasts. I am an Idealist, love pizza, and I'm not bothered by changing toilet paper rolls but can't stand rehanging a hand towel left on the counter.

Mom

First and foremost I am a mom. I love my kids, I want to be with them while they still like me and I don't want to miss those formative young childhood years. They are my true loves and happiness. That being said, being a full-time caregiving is tough and my brain loves the change-up and simple mental challenges VIPKid and running the Lesson Bank gives me. This means sometimes I am very around and sometimes I am gone for the weekend with my family. If you're every trying to get a hold of me and can't don't worry I always come back.

Wife

After being a Mom I am my fun, adventurous, Artisan husband's wife. We like going places. We try to be weekend warriors of doing stuff and going places. Local, abroad, camping, hiking, hotels, it's all great as long as we're seeing places and enjoying the outdoors. We also love museums, small towns, the dessert, and Ray LaMontagne.

VIPKid

At VIPKid I am a teacher, Online Cert Center Coach, MCM, and Fast Pass Coach. I really love teaching so teaching my students and teaching teachers are my favorite gigs I do. I adore it.

Lesson Bank Backstory

I started teaching for VIPKid in the summer of 2016 and quickly realized there weren't many of the resources I wanted for before, during and after class. So I made the Lesson Bank. I entered lessons for anywhere from 1-6 hours a day for about a year and a half. I shared it with other teachers to help them save their time too. Why recreate the wheel every morning? 1 teacher once is my motto. I eventually got to where I was helping people learn how to use Google Sheets, the Lesson Bank and VIPKid almost full-time for free. It took so much of my time that I had to invest in some coding work to make it easier. That's the Express PLB! It's faster, easier and better than ever. To help counter all the investment I've started asking for a $30 one-time donation. Now I spent time updating and maintaining the CLB and helping teach other teachers how to safe their time by using the Lesson Banks.
