TEACHING PRACTICE
TEACHING PRACTICE
To be a teacher is what I really dreamed of since I was ten, and to be able to be a teacher even for a short time really awakens me to the fact that teaching is very hard but very fulfilling at the same time. It is very hard in the sense that there is so much to be done and must be done. Some of it is, of course, the learning materials or instructional materials for students, and I also need to prepare myself because no one will know what will happen during the class. The good part is that it is very fulfilling in the sense that you can change some perspective and things used to, be more correct and appropriate.
I and the other pre-service student-teacher exchange were required to make four different lesson plans. It was quite handy for me since I needed to make two lesson plans in just one day.
Future School offers two English curricula: one for Cambridge and one for general English. We would have a Vietnamese collaborating teacher if we were teaching Cambridge English, but a foreign cooperating teacher if we were teaching general English. As a result, we had the opportunity to witness two distinct courses with two or three different teachers. Ms. Ana, Ms. Khánh Ly, and Ms. Thu Nga are my cooperating teachers. Ms. Ana is a Filipino teacher at Future School, while the two remaining cooperating teachers are Vietnamese. As you can see, I am assigned to teach both general English and Cambridge English with different cooperating teachers, and each has different teaching strategies and methods that really challenge me as a pre-service teacher. I realize that it is really hard to make your lesson plan from just one perspective. You need to have a lot of ideas, so that will really be good for some teachers.
I used the format recommended by my cooperating teacher for my teaching approach. First, there is the lesson itself, which includes motivation to foster a positive attitude toward school and aid in the development of key skills and knowledge in young pupils. The presentation comes next. Young children will then introduce, explain, and participate in the lesson topic in a presentation that includes visual aids, simple language, and interactive components to increase learning and retention. Then, to promote active learning and skill development, we have applications that allow students to apply what they've learned. Finally, there is the evaluation section. Teachers use the assessment section to check students' understanding and mastery of the course goals and to provide feedback.

This is the lesson plan I made during my first demo teaching as well as the PowerPoint presentation.
