Being in a foreign school where some approaches are different from what I have thought was different. I was very nervous and afraid at the same time that I could not execute my plan well. Having this taught in my mind, I make plans on how to make sure that my lesson plan will be executed appropriately. Some of the things I've done where to make use of my free time to observe the culture and practices of the people outside, because I believe that the common behaviors you can see among them can also be seen in the community. Then, I also planned and created a check list on how to make my students engage actively inside the room. Since I already know that the practicum uses television as there visual aid, I made sure to make a PowerPoint presentation as my visual aid so that I can just connect my laptop into the television. I also printed my activity sheets and work sheets from the lesson plan so that, in this way, students can also practice their writing skills. I will use my laptop as my main instructional material. I made sure that the files, such as pictures and videos, were downloaded.
They say that practice makes perfect, so that's also part of my teaching plan. Constant practice and exercise really help big time to execute the plan well and appropriately.
Furthermore, since it will be an English class, I use simple contexts and everyday events to help students understand easily what I have been teaching them. I also implement recurring assessments or activities. I encourage and provide constructive feedback to students in order to motivate them to further improve their English skills.
As for my teaching plan related to my major, here is one of my lesson plans.
