Leisure Yacht Brochures
Leisure 17 and 17SL
The L17 was introduced in January at the 1967 London Boat show but there is no original material for that date.
Brinecraft took over the moulds and built the L17SL, L20 and L23SL from 1980, as Leisure Yachts Ltd, after Cobramold went into liquidation.
Leisure 18
Leisure 20
An interesting brochure which confirms the dates of launch of the L20 (1974), L17 (1967) and L23 (1973) and states “since the introduction of the L17 seven years ago (1967), they have built over 2000 of them and over 450 of the more recently introduced Leisure 23”
Leisure 22
Published in 1971/72 the brochure mentions that over 1,000 L17’s had been built in fours years before this introduction of the L22 . It also mentions that Cobramold had produced replacement minarets for the Royal Brighton Pavilion.
Leisure 23 and 23SL
A Cobramold brochure undated but probably from 1973/74
Presumably Brinecraft produced this sometime from 1985-1990 but the name Brinecraft has been replaced by “Leisure Yachts Ltd”
Leisure 24
Leisure 26
Leisure 27
Leisure 29
Probably hastily produced at the end of 1979. The last piece of publicity before the 1980 London Boat Show and Cobramold’s later demise and liquidation
Leisure 27SL
In 1988 Boating Scene were selling the Mirage 27, built by Thames Marine. Allegedly Boating Scene took the Leisure name and stuck it on a budget form of the Mirage 27, as can be seen from this brochure.
It has caused much confusion, but the Leisure 27 and the Leisure 27SL are two completely different yachts.
