The procedure of teaching is composed by a systematic approach to facilitating effective learning experiences for students'. A well-planned lesson plan that specifies the learning objectives, teaching strategies, and assessment methods. I started the class with a prayer, followed by an icebreaking activity. Giving ice breaking activities that have clear explanations and demonstrations ensure that students grasp the instructions.
Learning objectives were introduced throughout the teaching process, active student participation is encouraged through discussions, questions, and interactive activities. Adaptability is the key, as I adjust my approach based on student needs.
Moreover, the art of questioning is used and I let the students discover the lesson through giving examples. When the students understand the lesson, I provides again another example so that students can fully understand the lesson and letting them learn in their own pace.
Furthermore, I provide group activities for students where they can discuss, exchange ideas and thoughts with each other. The group activities have allocated time for students to do the task. Individual worksheets given to students to test whether they learn something or not.
Time management is very important, in organizing the activities, setting time to finish group work and individual tasks. There are unpredictable circumstances and it is important to always have plan b if plan a didn’t work as you expected it to happen. In my first teaching I encountered some challenges. Those challenges give me an idea on what to do next in my discussion. No one can live life without learning something.
In teaching you are learning, in learning you are teaching. In the next discussion, I was able to pull off the and there’s an improvement because I already experienced and reflected on my actions because I believe that experience is a great mentor which allows you to gain knowledge and insights to help you grow and become the better version of yourself.
The activities written in the lesson plan were followed and the teacher adapts the pace and content based on the students’ response and needs ensuring that learning objectives are met. As the class ends, there is a summary or reflective discussion between the students and teacher. Teacher celebrates the learning achievement of students because she believes that “ if something is worth learning, it is worth celebrating.
