The teacher uses various teaching methods, Quantum teaching and Genre Based Approach. Quantum teaching fosters a dynamic learning environment, promoting lifelong learning and personal growth. Genre-Based Approach, on the other hand, focuses on the rules and traits of different genres, such as essays, reports, and speeches, to help students understand and create different types of communication, enhancing their linguistic and rhetorical proficiency for real-life situations.
In 9th grade, the teacher used a Genre Based Approach because the topic was about procedure text. Teacher provided definitions and examples of procedure text and presented a multimedia presentation. Meanwhile, in 8th grade, the teacher used Quantum Teaching because his lesson was about Modal “must”.
There are different learning materials used by the teacher, such as primary resources textbooks, literary text and workbooks. Moreover teachers use interactive simulations, multimedia presentations, internet resources, and textbooks. Technology is utilized to make information and educational materials accessible. To access a large collection of lessons and tutorials, teachers employ internet resources, instructional websites, and video-sharing platforms. Through these many sources, they continue to expand their knowledge.
Every student has their own learning style. To accommodate different learning styles, teachers integrate technology in class discussion such as multimedia presentations to have interactive discussion to promote student’s critical thinking and encourage class participation. Teachers embraced inclusive education, an education that includes all students and welcomes and supports them to learn whatever their abilities they have. The teacher creates engaging and diverse learning in the classroom by being flexible, adaptable and using various teaching methods which suit the unique needs and preferences of each student and promote active learning.
Authentic assessment methods are used by the teacher seeking to evaluate students' knowledge and assessing students' learning by applying what they learned in real-life scenarios. Including performances, problem-solving exercises, and project-based projects. These tests provide a more accurate assessment of a student's ability to apply academic knowledge to solve real-world problems. Highlights what is learned in the classroom and why this knowledge is important in the outside world of the classroom.
