LABOREL

in Drôme Provençale

our village is located at 800 meters altitude, in a non-intensive agricultural area mainly dedicated to lavender and lavandin cultivation as well as goat farming. This type of cultivation requires no treatment during flowering, so there is no risk of chemical contamination for the bees or the honey.

To distinguish real Lavender honey from Lavandin honey, it's very simple: its color…

Lavender honey has a beautiful golden yellow color, while Lavandin honey tends toward a light yellow. When it crystallizes, it even tends toward off-white, whereas Lavender honey will remain yellow but still quite light. You should know that you will more often find Lavandin honey rather than Lavender honey. However, they will all be sold under the name “Lavender Honey.” And yes, the AOC does not yet exist.

Our All Flowers honey (spring honey) is characterized by being very fragrant because of a gentle and subtle blend of the flowers around us. From year to year, it will be of different colors, darker or lighter depending on the flowers visited by the bees.
