The Goal:

The reason we have chosen this as a first challenge is to keep things simple. We want students to see that using one brick, one motor, and one sensor we can do so many amazing things. By starting simple we can focus in on keeping engineering principles basic, build confidence, and allow them to see how the elements integrate together.

Objectives:

To develop an understanding of how the beams and pegs work together.
To develop various ways to attaching beams to the EV3 brick.
To develop methods of using sensors to create a mechanism to pick up and deliver objects.
To develop and engage the skills necessary for creative problem solving.
To develop teamwork and communication skills to be successful as a team.

Group Size

You will create your own unique mechanism to carry the object, but you will be working with two other teammates in the relay so you will need to communicate strategy, build designs, tactics, and more.

Total team of 3.

Time Frame

You will only have 80-90 minutes of work time so make sure you work within these parameters.
