Legacy Debate Club competes in Stoa, which is a Christian homeschool speech and debate league founded in 2009. According to stoausa.org, Stoa seeks to "develop world-class communicators who speak boldly and change the world for Christ." To that end, Stoa has many local clubs that train students to improve their speech and debate skills. Each year, there are dozens of tournaments organized and run by these clubs. These tournaments motivate students to pursue competitive excellence in speech and debate, and, most importantly, to bring honor and glory to God.
This past year, Stoa members voted to determine which resolutions should be debated for the 2025-2026 year. Ultimately, the following resolutions were voted in for Lincoln-Douglas Debate:
(Fall) Resolved: In foreign policy, diplomacy is more effective than military intervention.
(Winter) Resolved: Incrementalism is superior to radicalism as a means of achieving social change.
(Spring/NITOC) Resolved: Practical skills should be valued over theoretical knowledge.
