Welcome to Unit 13: This unit is about creating a website with a theme about digital devices and named Mobile Work Station that we had to to work on. My choice was to create a website about the Mobile World Station where I sold phones and other accessories to fit the requirements of the 4 Learning Aims. I chose Visual Studio Code as the software used to create the website as I decided to make it from scratch even though we had the choice to make if from other platforms. We have covered static and dynamic websites by that time but the whole purpose was all about creating a dynamic website.
As we started the assignment we had to chose just a pattern of colors, have a mood board, storyboard, prepare assets for our websites, develop our website, add in at least one interactive feature, review our websites, gain feedback from others and make any improvements.
Above I've given just an overall idea of what the Unit 13 looks like but as I mentioned it consists of 4 Learning Aims which I will be explaining more in depth in the following paragraphs:
For this Learning Aim we have investigated two websites (a static and a dynamic website) in preparation for the second assignment. The assignment required us to include the intended uses, features, review how the features improve presentation, usability, accessibility, performance, the strengths and weaknesses of two websites and their differences in short.
For the second Learning Aim we had to design our websites to follow onto plan into Learning Aim C.
A proposed solution.
A list of assets.
A test plan.
Alternative solutions.
Aesthetic features.
Interactive components.
How the design will fulfill the purpose and user requirements.
For Learning Aim C & D, the final assignments for Unit 13, I developed, tested, reviewed, and finalized my website. The assignment required me to undertake several key tasks. I prepared assets, content, a mood board, and a storyboard to lay the foundation for my website. I then developed a website with eight interlinked pages, ensuring it fulfilled its intended purpose.
Once the website was built, I tested its functionality, identified and repaired any faults, and documented all changes made. I also evaluated how well the website suited its intended audience and purpose. This involved incorporating interactive features and demonstrating an awareness of user requirements, while also considering usability.
To refine my website, I tested its interactivity and gathered feedback from others. Based on this feedback, I made improvements to ensure the website met the needs of its purpose and user requirements. I considered constraints and made necessary refinements to improve accessibility and performance.
Throughout this process, I took into account user feedback and test results. I evaluated the final design against the initial design, justifying any changes made. Finally, I made recommendations for further improvements, ensuring the website was polished and fully functional.
