Where Learning Grows Naturally
Gardening invites preschool children into a world of curiosity, discovery, and hands‑on learning. This website translates findings from six international studies on gardening in Early childhood Education. It shows how gardening supports children’s emotional, social, cognitive, and physical development through meaningful, experiential learning.
Why Gardening Matters
Gardening is more than a classroom activity and it is a living, growing learning environment. Research shows that gardening:
strengthens emotional regulation and confidence
builds teamwork, communication, and belonging
supports STEM learning through real‑world inquiry
enhances fine and gross motor development
nurtures environmental awareness and responsibility
Children flourish when they can touch, observe, experiment, and care for living things. Gardening offers these opportunities every day.
