I designed this eLearning course for anyone who is learning how to use Zoom to teach or hold meetings. I converted my instructor-led training on Zoom into an eLearning course so that the content could be more readily accessible.
Challenges:
Limiting the tutorial videos to 2 minutes.
Using editing tools to highlight important sections of the video.
Solutions:
Focused on the key features in the Zoom platform and used videos to demonstrate how they are used.
Made sure to create short videos so that the demonstration is simple, easy to follow, and practical.
Included some knowledge checks so that learners can check their understanding
Results:
By the end of the training, the learners will feel more confident and able to apply what they learned in the course.

I co-designed this eLearning course to provide learners with a step-by-step guide on developing their academic writing skills.
Challenges:
Integrating the content on the Teachable platform so that the format and structure followed the guidelines.
Not being able to provide live feedback sessions and have office hours on the platform.
Solutions:
Broke down the different parts of the writing sample by providing examples and short explanations.
Included opportunities for learners to practice through the use of exercises and quizzes.
Made this course relevant to learners by having them refer to an assigned writing task to practice their writing skills.
Results:
Learners were able to check their understanding by doing exercises (e.g. identifying good examples of thesis statement or identifying sentence fragments)
I learned that providing regular feedback to the learners is an effective way of maintaining engagement and motivation.
