A colleague and I co-designed this self-study booklet to provide learners with content and detailed tasks to prepare them to apply for a US State Department exchange program called the Mandela Washington Fellowship.

There are three modules in this curriculum: 1) time management 2) writing skills development 3) presentation skills development.

This booklet is not limited to the Mandela Washington Fellowship. It can also be used for courses which a focus on academic speaking and writing skills development.

We created an accompanying curriculum and lesson plans for trainers and English teachers to use to prepare future candidates.
