Do you feel like no one appreciates your sick PvE skills? Well you must not have met the Vigilante! This indifferent Illager has dedicated his life to slaying monsters to keep the world safe, and he will pay a pretty penny to have you do the same!

Every once in a while he may wander by and stick around for a few days, providing you with ample time to trade. If he has not showed up for a while, he may also be summoned immediately using a Summoning Horn. Although, he will not show up if you are in a Village or Pillager Outpost, since he does not get along particularly well with either faction.

Bounties can be acquired by trading with the Vigilante, in the form of either a Contract or a Waiver. A Contract costs only a few Bedazzle Rods , and will task you with slaying a large amount of an Overworld monster, while a Waiver costs Blaze Rods instead and will task you with slaying a large amount of a Nether monster.

Bounties will initially go through a set pattern until you have seen all of them. Once all bounties have been seen, they will be selected randomly when a new one is taken. Bounties can be skipped by shift + right-clicking with a new Contract or Waiver, if you are having trouble with it or if you just do not want to do the bounty you got.

Bounties do not have a time limit, so take your time and play at your own pace.

Most of the Vigilante's trades will be locked by default, requiring that at least one person complete a bounty of a certain type to access. Some of these trades provide convenient access to otherwise expensive items, like TNT or potions. While others are the only way of obtaining new features, like a Lance or new enchantments.

The Vigilante deals in Rubies, which are a new gemstone which can only be obtained by completing bounties, immediately depositing a couple into your inventory depending on what bounty was completed.
