2019 Summer Leader Clinics & Courses
What: Rising LDC-IIs and –IIIs continue leadership training during the summer. Registration allows the student to attend multiple courses.
- CPT Jack’s Fitness Boot Camp (fitness led by CPT Jackson, NSCA-CPT - certified personal trainer)
- Archery Skills Clinics (Range time and qualification - Available in AM or PM)
- Junior Leaders’ Course (Prepares the cadet for Team Leader/Squad Leader/Deputy Section Leader assignments with a focus on wear & appearance of the uniform, leading basic drill, conflict management, communication and instruction skills, preparing and conducting inspections, leading physical training)
- Command & Staff Development Course (Prepares the cadet for Administrative Specialist and Section Leader assignments with focus on staff functions, planning, and unit cohesion)
When:
- CPT Jack’s Fitness Boot Camp – registration includes all dates: TBD
- Archery Skills Clinics (student may only select one; each has a maximum of 40 students, first come-first serve basis):
- 24-27 June, 9am-12pm (0900-1200)
- 24-27 June, 1-4pm (1300-1600)
- Junior Leaders’ Course – 22-25 July, 0900-1600 (9am-4pm)
- Command & Staff Development Course (rising LDC-III only) – 29-31 July, 0900-1600 (9am-4pm)
Where: *Bus transportation is NOT provided

(no refunds due to summer close-out)
Uniform: District appropriate/weather appropriate.
NOTE: Fitness Camp requires athletic wear. Archery training requires closed-toed shoes
What to bring/wear: water bottle, towel (fitness camp participants encouraged to bring exercise mat and a change of clothes if attending a clinic/course the same day)
Additional Notes: Awards can be earned in accordance with guidelines below:
- Command & Staff Development Ribbon (#6) – attend all three days of C&SD Course (LDC-III only)
- Junior Leaders’ Ribbon (#7) – attend all four days of Jr. Leaders’ Course
- Summer Leadership Training Excellence Star – (LDC-III only) Complete Leadership Camp and all summer clinics, including the fitness camp (must attend all days of each clinic and 12 out of 16 fitness camp dates.
- Archery Badge – Score 210+ out of 300 in one of the Archery clinics.
