Informal In-Studio Rehearsal

Informal In Studio Rehearsal for 6:30 show ONLY 

Thursday, May 15th from 4:00-6:45 pm 

If you have a regular class and are in another show besides the 6:30 show, please come for normal class. If  you have a Thursday class AND are in the 6:30 show, you will not come for your regular class. You will come  for the informal rehearsal ONLY. If you are in the opening number or have a main character role you will  need to be at the studio by 4:00 to begin at 4:00. Everyone else should be here no later than 4:30.  Absolutely NO parents are allowed in the studio during Informal Rehearsal. To also prevent parking  problems you will need to drop off your child and leave to come back and pick them up. Students will be  dismissed as they finish rehearsing their routines. They are not required to stay the entire time. A drop off/pick up schedule is located at the end of this newsletter. We do an informal rehearsal at the studio to  prevent a long rehearsal at the stage the Friday before recital. Parents are not allowed to come in and out of  the auditorium so if you are not a backstage volunteer they are responsible for changing themselves. This  rehearsal will help the kids feel more comfortable & stay on time so that rehearsal on stage & recital may run  smoothly. INFORMAL REHEARSAL MEANS NO COSTUMES!!  

 On our recital website you can find the Informal Rehearsal schedule (informal meaning full rehearsal run through WITHOUT costumes). If you have a Thursday class you will not come for your regular class on the 16th. You will come for the informal rehearsal. If you are in the opening number or have a main character  role you will need to be at the studio by 4:00 to begin at 4:00. Everyone else should be at the studio no later than 4:30. PLEASE DO NOT ARRIVE AT 4:30. To prevent congestion, we are giving you 30 minutes (from 4:00-4:30 to arrive). You should be inside the studio ready to go at 4:30, NOT getting out of your car at 4:30.  Because of the amount of students we will have in the studio, parents are NOT allowed in the studio. To also prevent parking problems you will need to drop off your child under the portico like normal and leave to come back and pick them up. Please do not park and wait for your child. To keep the traffic flowing you do not need to show up early and park. Begin forming a line to pick up your child at the times below. Students will be dismissed as they finish rehearsing their routines. They should not stay the entire amount of time. An  informal rehearsal at the studio will prevent a long rehearsal at the stage the Friday before recital. This rehearsal will help the kids feel more comfortable and stay on time so that rehearsal on stage and recital may run more smoothly. To pick up your child, you should pick them up near the Studio C door opposite of the studio’s front doors. DO NOT COME INSIDE!! When viewing the schedule look for your child’s LAST routine for a pick up time. Please pick them up once they are finished with their LAST routine. Please instruct your kids after arriving to find their class sheet for their FIRST class performance in one of the dressing room spaces. We will have teachers there to help guide them and will remind them in their classes leading up to the informal rehearsal. Do not bring your costumes. You may wear your normal practice clothes or your  recital t-shirt to the informal rehearsal at the studio. Please only send one small bag for your child’s shoes.  Please remind them to put their dance and street shoes inside their bag when they are not using them and  label your dance shoes! After their rehearsal they will be waiting for you to pick them up at the far end door.  ***FINAL SCHEDULE FOR INFORMAL REHEARSAL PICK UP TIMES WILL BE EMAILED!***
