Uniformity on stage is essential in a good production. As costumes are coming in please make sure that you have all the required accessories for your costume(s). You will need all of these things by picture day in March and will wear them during rehearsal and recital in May.

Check List:
TIGHTS
You are required to purchase your recital & picture day tights through LCDC. Since there are many different shades of pink it is a requirement that everyone has the same color pink. For tan/skintone tights we have various shades to match to your skin tone. We have some in stock that you can purchase. All are available online. It is always good to have a back up pair of tights as we will wear these for picture day, dress rehearsal, and recital. You are not allowed to wear tights with holes or stains in our group picture or on stage! Combo Ballet & Tap classes should have two colors - pink and tan.
SHOES
Make sure to have the correct color shoes! All ballet shoes will be pink. However, depending on which jazz and tap class you are in the color might vary. To be sure look on our lcdanceco website or recital website. Combo classes will need two pair of shoes - (depending which combo class) ballet and tap.
HAIR ACCESSORIES
These are listed on your costume worksheet. Pay special attention to what is required for each costume! Every costume is different and will have different requirements. Before asking the studio or your teacher please check the recital website for costume info. All students in all shows are required to have their hair in a high bun on the crown of the head for recital for dance. Tumble is required to have their hair in a ponytail or secured braids.
MAKEUP
Makeup on stage and for pictures is completely optional, but is recommended. Stage lights and the lights that are used for pictures can cause features on a performer’s face to minimize and skin can sometimes appear blotchy or red. We recommend at least using brow filler, foundation, mascara, lipstick, and blush on your performers face.
CARRYING BAGS
When you are coming to and from the studio for pictures and the auditorium for rehearsal and recital, you need to make sure your costume along with all the above accessories are transported safety. Please make sure that your costume(s) are in a garment bag hanging up. All costumes came with a bag, but they should be taken out of the bag so that there are no wrinkles. Please write your childs name on the inside of all shoes and tights and put them in a bag. Every year there is a shoe problem because shoes are left loose backstage while performers are on stage. Keep these things organized and protected from the elements!!
Lastly, ALL ALTERATIONS SHOULD BE DONE BY PICTURE DAY. You should have gotten an email regarding picture day information a few weeks ago. You will see that picture week is also costume inspection week. All alterations including hemming pants, straps, etc should be done and we will be inspecting these during pictures.
