Talks and Tutorials
I gave a Tutorial on Challenges and Opportunities with Big Linked Data Visualization at the International Conference on The Semantic Web (ISWC 2018) in Monterey, California on the 9th October, 2018.
I was the organizer and presenter of the Open Data Day held in Modena the 5th of March in 2016. The event was a scientific diffusion day sponsored by the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia as part of the International Open Data Day initiative.
I was a speaker at 3nd Keystone Training School "Keyword Search in Big Linked Data" organized within the COST action IC1302 held from 21st to 25th August 2017 in Vienna, Austria. During the school my role was to present an introduction to the methods of exploring and displaying Big Linked Open Data. Slides available on slideshare.
I was a speaker at the 2nd Keystone Training School organized within the COST action IC1302, held from 18 to 22 July 2016 in Santiago de Compostela, Spain. During the school my role was to present an introduction to linked open data and tools for exploring, displaying and querying Linked Open Data sources. My tutorial takes a full day: ranging from an Introduction to Linked Data and then focusing on Exploration, visualization and querying of linked open data sources.
I was a speaker at the 3rd course on Open Source Intelligence and Data / Text Mining organized by FRONTEX (European Agency for the Management of the External Borders of the European Union) held in Warsaw, Poland, on March 14-18, 2011. During the course my role was to present an introduction to information search systems and data analysis systems.
