Create/Maintain Web Site for Collaboration With Colleagues

When I initially included this activity on my site internship plan, I was talking about a wiki I had created to facilitate communication among my fellow English teachers, but when I got my new job as Technology Curriculum Integration Specialist, I ended up making the district instructional technology Web site. My work on the site fits with Technology Facilitation (TF) Standard VII: "Procedures, Policies, Planning, and Budgeting for Technology Environments" (Williamson & Redish, 2009, p. 209).

From my creation of the Web site, I learned that creating something for the entire district comes with a lot of responsibility. I followed Solomon and Schrum's advice to facilitate anytime learning (2007) by creating a discussion board and technology help section, so teacher can access help whenever they need it. I also applied Kaiser's three-click rule (2006). You can get from any page to any page on the district technology site in three clicks.
