The Sicilian cultural association Sicularte, based in a Viagrande, a small village at the foot of Etna Volcano, has for decades developed an interest in eco-embodied practices and witnesses daily the damage and degradation of the landscape caused by careless actions of locals and visitors. Through its activities, Sicularte fosters respect for nature and seeks to rekindle an appreciation of its beauty across generations.
APS Lerea
Lerea is a cultural association immersed in a four acres olive grove in Cassaro, Sicily, Italy on the Eblei mountains at the edge of the UNESCO site Pantalica nature reserve. It is a hub for creative and socially engaged initiatives at the intersection of movement research, ecology, performing arts, regenerative agriculture and community building.
APS Trucioli is a cultural association based in the Etna area that focuses on promoting local crafts, woodworking, and artistic traditions. It organizes workshops, exhibitions, and community activities, serving as a hub for artisans and anyone interested in preserving and celebrating the region’s craftsmanship and heritage.
IFEEA is an emerging international forum bringing together practitioners, educators, researchers, and artists with a shared interest in the growing field of ecosomatic arts and practices. The forum aims to mobilize experiential, sensorial modalities that challenge dominant anthropocentric knowledge structures.
Casa di Paglia Felce Rossa is an eco-friendly straw bale house located in Milo. Built using natural materials like straw, wood, and clay, it follows principles of bio-architecture and permaculture. It serves both as a private home and as a small educational space promoting sustainable, low-impact living.

Ecomuseo del Castagno dell'Etna - Milo
Milo is a small town on the eastern slopes of Etna Volcano, surrounded by chestnut woods and vineyards and closely linked to local traditions. The Ecomuseo del Castagno dell'Etna is a contemporary art museum and a venue for promoting the craftsmanship of Etna’s eastern slopes, serving in particular as a meeting and gathering place for Etna’s woodworkers.
Expò Due Palmenti - Pedara
Pedara is a town located on the slopes of Etna Volcano, known for its volcanic landscape, traditional architecture, and strong connection to local culture. In its historical and architectural context, the Expò Due Palmenti, an ancient winemaking facility, is intended for cultural activities dedicated primarily to understanding Etna viticulture, art, and contemporary architecture.
City Hall - Zafferana Etnea
Zafferana Etnea is a charming town on the slopes of Etna Volcano, known for its beautiful natural landscapes and its famous Ottobrata Festival held every October. The Council Chamber, which is the seat of the municipal council, hosts not only official meetings but also exhibitions and civic and cultural events, playing an important role in the town’s cultural life.
