FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions)
GENERAL INFO
What are Eco-Embodied Arts?
Eco-embodied arts are practices that engage the body as a living, sensing part of ecological systems, using perception, movement, and material interaction with place to explore the interdependence between human and more-than-human worlds.
What is Site-Specific?
Site-specific art grows from the character of its surroundings, unfolding in dialogue with the textures, history, and life that inhabit that particular site.
ELIGIBILITY FOR THE COLLECTIVE EXHIBITION "MEETING YOUR LAND"
Can I apply if I am not a visual artist?
Yes.The photo and video works selected can be the result of: individual visual artists' work; individual artists of other disciplines who have experimented with photo and videos; multidisciplinary collaborations and collective groups; documentation of projects led by movement based artists/practitioners, etc. The artist submitting the work can be of any discipline. In the application you please state who holds the copyright for the work.
Are Eco-Somatic-based works eligible?
Yes. Eco-Somatics is an evolving field, weaving somatic practices with ecological approaches. It connects the felt experience of our bodies with the larger world we inhabit, showing how movement, sensation, and awareness are part of a living ecosystem. It invites us to move, feel, and live with greater connection, responsibility, and care for all life. Here are some relevant articulations of eco-somatic practice offered by ISMETA https://ismeta.org/forums/topic/defining-ecosomatics.
Are group works and collaborations accepted?
Yes. The works might have been created by a collective of artists of various disciplines including embodied artists. Please ensure that intellectual property rights are clearly defined and respected.

For this reason, we are not able to offer a fee to the selected artist for this edition of the project. Selected works will be submitted digitally, with production and printing costs covered by the hosting organisation.
