The overall goal:

The living conditions of poor families in Phongsaly Province in North Laos improved while taking into consideration the protection of Phoutaxanh forest.

Project objective:

The food security and income situation of the 83 poorest families in 6 villages will be improved in consideration of the protection of the Phoutaxanh forest.

Results:

1. Increase the availability of irrigated land for rice planting

2. Provide additional possibilities for sustainable cash income

3. Improve the sanitation and hygiene of the target villages

4. Improve the management of the Phoutaxan Conservation Forest
