The Path Code isn't technically a written language system found within either of the games-- it's actually a real-life code that was printed on maps mailed out to Pirate101 members in 2012. The main purpose of the map, which is a version of Marco Pollo's map that leads to El Dorado, was to grant early members a Ninja Pig companion via an access code. The access code could be obtained by following the word puzzles written on the map. However, alongside these word puzzles were random ciphers scattered throughout the map, which had no impact on obtaining the Ninja Pig companion, but served as fun Easter eggs as they foreshadowed plot points in the game.Â
Being a Pirate101 member since the game's launch in 2012, I actually have a physical copy of the map, and I was able to translate a couple of these little messages:
