Library and Information Technologies

The purpose of this assignment was to work in a group to write a Request for Proposal based on a real library and circumstances. The RFP includes a detailed description of the library with its population, an extensive needs statement, and a scope of service.

The goal of this assignment was to identify and describe relevant and useful tools and utilities for a library that are required for everyday operation of libraries including:

• Authentication tools

• Proxy server

• Network connectivity testing

• Print utilities

• Device management systems

• Content enrichment utilities
