I find joy in art; viewing art, creating art, and displaying art. I constantly search for formats to express myself without words—I often have no clear vision of what the final piece will become. My process is inspired by my rural upbringing and the nature surrounding us but is a very experimental approach. Each piece leads me from one action to another with each material directing me on what to do next. I’m a multimedia batik artist because I resist-dye fabric using wax, but I also use any other mediums I have collected to get to the final piece.
I am inspired by artwork and other artists in general. However, art is my own personal escape from the tough parts of the world we live in. I often sort out the hardships of life one piece of art at a time, with each piece helping me return to the comfort and solace of nature.
