The LGBTQ+ community uses the rainbow flag to represent the diversity within their community around the world. In the original eight-color version of the flag - red stood for life, orange for healing, yellow for the sun, green for nature, turquoise for art, indigo for harmony, violet for spirit, and pink for sexuality.
