A short description of my project
This project focused on researching and presenting the topic Augmented Reality (AR) Glasses. I created a PowerPoint explaining what AR is, how AR glasses function, how they differ from VR, their everyday life applications, current developments in the industry, and future challenges related to privacy and ethics.
My topic and why I chose it
I chose Augmented Reality Glasses because they represent one of the most fast-growing and exciting areas of technology. AR glasses combine the real world with digital overlays, opening the door to new ways of learning, communicating, navigating, and interacting with our surroundings. I was interested in understanding both the innovation behind these devices and the ethical questions that come with them.
One Interesting Thing I Learned
One of the most interesting things I learned is how lightweight and advanced AR glasses are becoming. For example, the ML Vision M5 AR glasses use onboard AI processing while still being ultra-light. I also learned that companies like Meta, Plessey, and Vuzix are developing micro-LED displays and captioning features for people with hearing impairments — showing that AR glasses can support accessibility, not just entertainment.

Lessons Learned
This project taught me that new technology can be exciting, but we also have to think about how it affects people. While researching AR glasses, I learned how fast they are improving and how they might change the way we learn and communicate. I also realized that things like eye-tracking can raise privacy issues. This project helped me explain information more clearly, and it reminded me to think about both the benefits and the responsibilities that come with new technology.
