This project shows my ability to use different types of digital media on a Google Site and properly cite each source with the correct licensing.
This is a photograph I took of the sky when it looked beautiful and pink. I used GIMP to slightly adjust the brightness and contrast to highlight the colors. I added the text "Chasing the sunset" to capture the feeling of calm and wonder the sky inspired.
I resized the image to make it smaller and then exported it as a JPEG. I'm sharing this image under the CC BY-NC-SA 4.0 License. I learned how small edits can enhance natural colors while keeping the photo realistic.
To the left is an audio file called Chill Piano. I chose it because it creates a calm, relaxing mood.
I downloaded the MP3 and uploaded it to Google Drive to embed it on the site.
This track is shared under the CC BY 4.0 license, which allows anyone to share or adapt it as long as credit is given.

This is an example of an animated gif I found on Pixabay.
The video is about artificial intelligence and how it connects the digital and physical worlds. It shows how the lines between both have become blurred through technology.
I embedded this from YouTube, which offered embed code, but there was no usage policy or licensing information.
According to the about page for YouTube:
Videos may be used for non-commercial and educational purposes under the Standard YouTube License, as long as they are not downloaded, changed, or shared outside of YouTube.
Working on this project taught me how to correctly cite different types of media and understand copyright and licensing. I also learned how Creative Commons makes it easier to use materials legally, and how to balance using my own creations with media from open sources.
