Illustration after dredging in 1942 until development in 1972.
In 1972 during the original development excavation was completed in 2 locations to connect the three original lakes into one. However at this point the lake was not a continuous loop. Important to notice is that excavation was not nearly as deep as the original dredging leaving two shallow spots between lakes.
In 1974, excavation for the 1st addition was completed. This connected the lake into a single continuous loop and made all original lots on an island instead of a peninsula. A bridge was built to access the island. Note this excavation was much larger and even shallower than the excavations completed to connect the lakes 2 years previous.
