Members and Guests must be willing to take the relatively small risk of association in fresh air and chlorinated water; otherwise they are cordially asked to find their recreation elsewhere. Each person's own health and well-being is primarily under their own control by managing their own level of interaction. They should not expect others to follow their own personal health standards.
Each person should nevertheless be considerate of others and of the current governmental guidelines. Children's behavior must be monitored by parents and managed with the same level of personal consideration.
We will attempt to follow public health guidelines as they apply to our situation and as interpreted by our Directors.
The Guard or Supervisor's primary responsibility is prevention of injury or accident in and around the pool. Guards may coach but are not expected to monitor the interaction of patrons outside of water safety. For many years the guards and supervisors have been taught that they are to maintain Safe, Sanitary, and Secure conditions at the pool, and that remains true this summer.
If it becomes necessary to limit concurrent use of the pool, preference will be given first to returning members, then to new members in the order that their applications were received, and lastly to visitors (in other words, restricting or eliminating guest privileges might be the first restrictive step taken since visitors have the lowest priority). Extended family members as defined in our Rules are not considered visitors.
No one exhibiting or feeling the documented symptoms of any contagious illness may enter the Pavilion or Pool Gate.
Sanitizing spray will be available and members are welcome to spray any non-water equipment before using it.
Restrooms will be cleaned regularly and sanitizing products will be available to members for their own additional use.
Each family should bring along, use, and take away their personal equipment.
If snack concessions are resumed (there have been none since covid) steps will be taken to minimize contamination.
Parties may be limited in size, and that limit may vary during the season as community health situations indicate.
