Lakeshore Pool Rules & Regulations
1. The use of the Pool is limited to Members and their qualified Guests. A membership list will be maintained and personal identification may be required for entry. Everyone entering the Pool gate must sign in daily. The Pool is open for general use only when a Lifeguard or authorized supervisor is present. All swimmers use the Pool at their own risk at all times! [see also Independent Use]
2. Individuals or Families residing in the County area north of Hwy 58 (accessible from Champion Road or N. Hickory Valley Road) must become season members and may not come as Guests of others except on designated occasions. Any Pool member residing outside of the Lakeshore Estates community assumes the status of an Associate Member of the Lakeshore Estates Community Club.
3. Members must pay a Guest **fee of $5.00 per guest per day (max $15.00 per Guest family) to the Lifeguard or Supervisor when their guests enter the Pool. Guests must be accompanied by a Pool Member and are subject to the same rules. Guests may only be registered by an adult pool member.
Guest Exception: Extended family of Members, whose permanent residence is outside the local area described in rule #2, may sign in and use the Pool along with their Member family at no extra charge.
4. The Pavilion must be reserved on a first-come basis with the guards. A minimum **fee of $30 covers up to ten swimming Guests for a registered party, and additional swimming Guests are charged $3 each. Users are advised to check the condition of the Pavilion ahead of their event, and are expected to clean up thoroughly afterward. Check the Calendar for open times and make a reservation by email to parties@lakeshorepool.info or in some cases the Guard can post a reservation.
5. Children under 10 years of age must be accompanied and supervised by a parent or a responsible adult. Non-swimmers under 10 years old must have continuous capable supervision. Children 10 years or older may swim independently if they pass a swimming capability test to the satisfaction of the Guard.
6. Small children in diapers must wear tight-fitting rubber pants capable of containing bowel movements. Younger children should be given regular bathroom breaks to reduce the probability of urine in the pool.
7. Posted rules and the Guard’s instructions must be followed at all times. No rough play or running will be permitted, and courtesy is always expected. The Pool may occasionally be cleared by the Guard as a drill or for an adult swim time. The Pool and pool area must be evacuated during an electrical storm at the Guard’s direction.
8. Glass containers are not permitted inside the Pool fence at any time. Discretion should be used when bringing snacks to the Pool area to avoid littering, polluting the water, or attracting ants. No remnants of food, drink, or wrappers etc. may be left behind.
9. Alcoholic beverages of any sort are not permitted inside the Pool fence. Alcohol may only be consumed on the grounds with due respect to all members and visitors while maintaining ability to follow all Pool rules and local regulations. Inappropriate behavior associated with alcohol may lead to tighter restrictions on everyone at any time.
10. Smoking is not permitted inside the Pool fence, and smokers are asked to be attentive to the wind direction and considerate of anyone with allergies. Smoking materials not properly disposed of may lead to tighter restrictions on smoking at any time.
11. No excessive noise is allowed, especially after dark. We will respect our neighbors.
12. Please dress in modest swimwear appropriate to a family pool.
13. The Pool may be closed at designated times for maintenance, or without notice to correct regulatory conditions. Please note that Pool upkeep is done by the best effort of volunteers only. Members are asked to find ways to help (such as preparing for opening, routine cleaning, or occasional maintenance or grounds care) as their skills allow.
14. The Pool Guard or Supervisor has the authority to cite a person for misconduct or for disregard of these or other posted rules. A citation shall be reviewed by the Pool Board, and a cited person will be denied use of the Pool until his/her application for reinstatement has been approved.
15. Membership and fees are non-refundable, including for memberships terminated due to misconduct.
