Introduction:
As a parent of a GCSE student, you may be wondering how Artificial Intelligence (AI) can support your child's revision journey. This information is designed to provide you with simple strategies to use AI tools for effective GCSE revision.
Understanding AI in Education:
AI is like a smart study buddy. It adapts to your child's learning style and helps them grasp subjects better. These tools use advanced algorithms to analyze strengths and weaknesses, making revision more tailored and efficient.
Examples of how AI can be used;
Creating flash cards - This is a fast way to create flashcards for revision. Visit BBC bitesize and copy and paste the information into chatpgt, then ask it to create flashcards from the text. Then ask it to summarize the text in the flashcards. You then need to physically copy these down onto cards.
2. Creating a mind map. This is a fast way to create the information for mindmap. Visit BBC bitesize and copy and paste the information into chatpgt, then ask it to create a mindmap from the text. Copy this information onto plan paper.
Examples we have covered in Design and Technology include using AI to create flash cards and mind maps. Also how to use AI as a quiz tool to test knowledge. Please click the attachments below to learn more.
These can be applied to any subject.
Start off with the key topic in the middle of the page and develop your main idea.
Each branch must relate to the branch before it.
Use only keywords and images.
Enhance/use different colours/ fonts to make certain facts more memorable.
Use highlighters and coloured markers to colour code branches.
Make things stand out on the page so that they stand out in your mind.
Be creative- add sketches/drawings to help you remember.
Write questions on one side and answers on the other.
Colour code your cards or written text for different topics.
Get your family to test you and get competitive in teaching and learning for the whole family or friends!
Lots of videos for each topic under ‘food preparation and nutrition’ and Design and Technology.
Watch the videos and then complete mind maps or flashcards
