What help and support is available?
As part of our intervention package for Year 11 we are happy to offer the following:
Monday and Friday morning study groups
Heads of Maths, English and Science offer targeted small group support to learners identified from data analysis. Groups will change on a half-termly basis to support as many learners as possible with meaningful intervention.
After School Intervention Programme (ASIP)
After-school sessions are offered everyday on a rota system (excluding Tuesdays), and are open to targeted learners, determined by teaching staff to work with in half-termly blocks. Learners will be selected to attend for particular subjects if their teacher feels they need extra support or encouragement. The learners are given a timetable for this.
In-School Intervention & Mentoring
Teaching staff are providing small group intervention and mentoring sessions to learners across different year groups.
IT support
Laptops available for learners to borrow if they need them (please email Mr Isles jisles@ladybridgehigh.co.uk).
D6 Saturday Morning Tuition
High achieving students from Bolton Sixth Form College are employed to coach our Year 11 learners in selected subjects.
This programme has been used very successfully, with learners in recent years achieving up to one grade higher compared to their expected progress. Some learners achieved up to three grades higher!
